Abstract:

The recently released "Strong Start V" by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) provides a comprehensive and systematic comparative study of the measures taken by its members and partner countries to promote early childhood transition. Although the early childhood transition practices of OECD member countries vary, there are still common characteristics: governments attach great importance to it and issue policies to ensure it; Implement a coherent and integrated curriculum to guide the transition from kindergarten to primary school; Integrate early childhood teacher education and promote professional uniformity; Conduct multi-party cooperation to form a support system; Consider the perspective of children and listen to their opinions. Drawing on the experience of OECD member countries, China can promote the integration of primary and secondary education by strengthening top-level design and conducting overall planning; Strengthen the overall planning of academic stages and establish curriculum continuity; Develop a connection plan based on a child's perspective; Eliminate misconceptions and engage in three-dimensional cooperation.
