Abstract：

This study does an examination of the impact that digital transformation has on the efficiency of governance in higher education, makes an identification of its core challenges, and puts forward corresponding response strategies. The research discovers that during the time when digital transformation can greatly boost governance efficiency by means of data-driven ways, process optimization, and platform integration, it also confronts long - standing barriers like system barriers, data storage separations, the digital gap, and the disagreement of traditional organizational structures. The study brings up that the key to successful transformation is located in achieving a model change from the use of technological tools to the re-organization of the governance system. This needs to put an emphasis on a value orientation of governance, carry out a building of an integrated platform that is digital, make an adjustment to structures of organization, and do a cultivation of leadership that is digital across the institution. These measures have the aim of making sure that transformation that is digital truly serves the mission that is fundamental of education that is higher, pushing forward modernization of governance that is inclusive, efficient, and sustainable.
