Abstract:
In the current context of globalization and informatization, the tourism industry, as one of the most dynamic and promising emerging industries, is undergoing unprecedented changes and development. The prosperity of the tourism market not only promotes economic growth, but also puts forward higher requirements for tourism management professional education. As an important platform for cultivating tourism management talents, the teaching quality of local universities directly affects the future development of the tourism industry. However, current local universities' tourism management majors generally face many challenges in practical teaching, such as the disconnect between teaching content and actual needs, weak practical teaching links, and insufficient students' practical abilities, which seriously restrict the quality and efficiency of talent cultivation in tourism management majors. At present, China has entered a critical period of economic development mode transformation, and there is an urgent need to cultivate applied technology talents to support industrial transformation and upgrading. Local undergraduate universities should adapt to the needs of regional industrial development and transform towards application-oriented development, and the core of transformation and development is the reform of practical teaching models. This article takes the tourism management major in local undergraduate universities as an example, and explores the path selection of practical teaching mode reform in applied universities from three aspects: implementing the reform of "simulation" and "post based" teaching mode, constructing a practical teaching evaluation system and assessment mode reform.
