Abstract:
Cultivating socialist builders and successors with comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor is China's educational policy. In the process of promoting students' comprehensive development, labor education is an indispensable key part with the value of comprehensive education in the new era. It is an important link in achieving the goal of quality education. In the context of the new curriculum reform, labor education has become a hot topic in educational reform. Integrating labor education with various disciplines has become an important measure to promote the development of quality education and achieve the goal of educating students with moral character. Currently, frontline geography teachers rarely conduct labor education through geography teaching. Some teachers still focus on exam oriented education concepts, taking improving students' academic performance as the starting point and destination of teaching. They have not deeply realized the long-term significance of labor education for students' comprehensive development, and have not fully integrated the spirit of quality education into daily teaching and the process of cultivating students. As a result, geography teaching and labor education have become separated. How to further integrate high school geography teaching and labor education in the context of the new curriculum reform is worthy of in-depth exploration and research.
