Abstract:
Tagore is famous for his poetry, but he has become India's "conscience" with his rich ideas and active participation in India's national democratic movement, rural construction practices, and educational reforms. Tagore once managed his family's land in rural Kolkata for over ten years and took the initiative to undertake the responsibility of rebuilding rural India. In the process of close contact with farmers, Tagore's ideological realm underwent earth shattering changes. The profound suffering of farmers aroused his strong sympathy. Tagore created a large number of poems, essays, and novels to reflect various problems in rural India, entering a prosperous period of literary creation. At the same time, the life experience in rural India and the practice of rural reform provided Tagore with rich materials, deeply influencing his literary internal factors such as creative style and thematic implications. It is necessary to comprehensively understand and comprehend Tagore by delving into the expression of rural life and construction practices in Tagore's literary works through the method of close reading of texts.
