Abstract:

The New Zealand government regards accessibility, affordability, and quality as the fundamental directions for the development of inclusive early childhood education. Since the 21st century, the New Zealand government has ensured that preschool education services are "accessible" by implementing free preschool education, providing diverse preschool education institutions, and prioritizing support for disadvantaged children; By increasing government financial investment and establishing special subsidies for disadvantaged preschool education institutions, we ensure that preschool education services are affordable; By establishing a national unified curriculum standard that respects multiculturalism, strengthening the construction of preschool teacher teams, implementing support programs for disadvantaged families, and constructing a quality supervision system for preschool education services, we ensure that preschool education services are of high quality. The experience of developing inclusive preschool education in New Zealand has certain reference significance for China.
