Abstract:
With the construction of "new medicine" and the transformation of medical models, medical humanities quality is becoming increasingly important in the cultivation of medical talents. However, due to the strong specialization of medicine and the tight schedule of courses, medical graduate students themselves, their supervisors, and the teaching system of medical schools all prioritize humanities over majors. This article is based on the connotation, current situation, and problems of medical humanities education under the background of "new medicine". Taking the inheritance and promotion of the "Norman Bethune spirit" in a double first-class university in Jilin as the fulcrum, it analyzes the impact of increasing the humanistic atmosphere of medical colleges, stimulating the vitality of medical graduate students, establishing a mentor selection mechanism, enhancing the professional quality of teachers, adding medical humanities assessment, increasing humanistic experience, improving curriculum teaching mode, and increasing the attractiveness of humanistic courses on medical humanities education work. It is found that strengthening the attention of learners, mentors, and the education system to medical humanities education is conducive to cultivating high-quality talents who are competent in clinical positions with humanistic wisdom and skills.
