Abstract:
English teacher candidates at the vocational level have weak phonetic foundation and reading ability, which is not conducive to engaging in primary school English teacher positions that mainly focus on listening and speaking teaching. Through a series of practical activities, this article summarizes several effective methods to improve the English reading ability of teacher candidates, including introducing new ideas and resources, promoting teacher-student cooperation in class and in class, and using competitions to promote development, in order to further improve the quality of teacher training.
