Abstract：

As an important spiritual and cultural treasure of China, the excellent traditional culture of China contains rich ideological and political education concepts and resources. As one of the important bases for cultural inheritance and talent cultivation, vocational colleges need to cleverly integrate excellent traditional Chinese culture in the process of strengthening ideological and political education for vocational college students, in order to demonstrate the attractiveness and infectiousness of ideological and political education. During the ideological and political education period in vocational colleges, cleverly integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture can not only strengthen students' cultural confidence and moral literacy, but also help them activate their learning thinking and achieve the goal of improving themselves. Therefore, this article mainly explores the current situation, feasibility, and strategies of the integration of excellent traditional Chinese culture and ideological and political education in higher vocational education, and puts forward several insights for reference.
