Abstract：

Based on the new requirements and standards for cultivating engineering talents in current universities, the talent training plan for agricultural water conservancy engineering at Anhui Agricultural University has been revised from two aspects: strengthening ideological and political education in courses and practical education. The new plan implements the concept of teaching and nurturing, integrates ideological and political education into the curriculum, and emphasizes the cultivation of students' hands-on abilities. By revising the talent cultivation plan in six aspects, we explore new methods and models for cultivating applied and innovative talents in agricultural water conservancy engineering majors in teaching and research oriented undergraduate colleges, providing reference for the training methods of agricultural engineering talents.
