Abstract:

The basic principles of disciplines contain the fundamental ideas and methods of disciplines. Clarifying the educational value and operational mechanism of disciplinary ideas and methods is a key step in implementing the core competencies of disciplines. Regional differences reflect the second law of geography, "spatial heterogeneity," and paying attention to regional differences is an important perspective for examining issues in geography. The key to sorting out the key points related to regional differences and clarifying the connotation and spectrum of the thinking and methods of geographical regional differences lies in: analyzing the origin of regional differences based on geographical processes, understanding the laws of regional differences based on spatial scales and zonal and non zonal perspectives, and responding to practical problems and value judgments with a tailored approach based on regional differences. Based on this, combined with specific content, we will provide feedback to basic geography education and explore the directional requirements of regional differences thinking methods for middle school geography teaching.
