Research on Reform Strategies of College English Teaching Based on Cross cultural Communication

Abstract:

With the continuous acceleration of globalization, international communication and cooperation are becoming increasingly frequent, and cross-cultural communication skills have become one of the essential core competencies for contemporary college students. In this era, as an important course for cultivating students' cross-cultural communication skills, college English teaching reform is particularly urgent. In this regard, this article analyzes the theoretical basis of cross-cultural communication and college English teaching reform from the perspective of cross-cultural communication. It elaborates on the important significance and existing difficulties of cultivating cross-cultural communication skills in current college English teaching. Based on this, specific strategies for college English teaching reform are proposed, and the practical application of cross-cultural communication in college English teaching is further explained, in order to enhance the cross-cultural communication awareness and ability of college students, optimize the effectiveness of college English teaching, and lay the foundation for cultivating high-quality talents with international vision and cross-cultural communication skills.
