Abstract:

This study systematically and deeply explored the acceptance of Thinking Maps, a visual learning tool, by medical students in surgical learning and its key influencing factors. Based on the theory of educational psychology and the technology acceptance model, this study constructed an analytical framework consisting of three dimensions: first, in the dimension of individual characteristics, this study focused on the differential effects of internal factors (e.g., differences in the cognitive styles of medical students, their ability to apply information technology, the type of motivation for learning, and the stage of their professional development) on the acceptance of the tool. Second, in the teaching environment dimension, the key role of external teaching factors such as teacher modeling effect, curriculum integration approach, and assessment mechanism design were analyzed in depth. Finally, in the technical support dimension, the decisive influence of technical features such as tool specialization, functional adaptability, and platform compatibility is systematically explored.
