Abstract:
Reception Aesthetics Theory plays a significant role in teaching traditional cultural picture books in kindergartens. It brings three key benefits: it helps kids become more aware of cultural symbols, sparks their creativity as they build their own imaginative worlds, and fosters a deeper connection to culture overall. For kindergarten teachers, this theory provides valuable insights. First, it encourages them to appreciate the rich cultural layers of picture books from different perspectives. Second, it inspires kids to stretch their imagination and explore new narrative ideas. Lastly, it suggests creating engaging learning environments where children can actively participate through hands-on, embodied experiences.
