Abstract:

With the advancement of society and the development of education, the importance of family education has become increasingly prominent. In contemporary society, the educational environment has shown diverse characteristics, with families, schools, communities, and public facilities together forming an organic whole in children's education. Public libraries, as core facilities of community culture, play an irreplaceable role in supporting and promoting family education. By providing abundant literature resources, diverse learning spaces, and various reading promotion activities, public libraries create a favorable informal learning environment for family education. From basic book borrowing services to special parent-child co-reading projects, the services of the library effectively expand the implementation paths of family education. However, how to optimize the utilization rate of public library resources and how to deepen the integration of library services with family education remains an issue worthy of in-depth discussion. This paper aims to systematically review the relevant research on public libraries supporting family education, elucidating its practical significance and value in the current social context. By analyzing the specific models and implementation strategies of public libraries in supporting family education, and dissecting the existing problems and challenges, this study hopes to provide theoretical references and practical guidance for promoting the coordinated development of family education and public cultural services.
