Abstract:
With the deepening reform of higher education and the ongoing promotion of the national fitness strategy, the role of college physical education (PE) teachers has become increasingly prominent. The traditional single-dimensional evaluation system can no longer fully and fairly reflect the actual teaching level and overall competence of PE teachers. Constructing a scientific and rational diversified evaluation system is not only conducive to teachers’ professional development but also helps improve the quality of physical education in colleges. Based on multi-subject participation, multidimensional indicators, and process-oriented and developmental evaluation, this paper analyzes the existing problems in current evaluation systems and explores the necessity, core elements, and practical pathways for constructing a diversified evaluation system for college PE teachers. It also provides optimization suggestions in the hope of offering theoretical support and practical references for the reform of physical education teaching in higher education.
