Abstract:

Against the backdrop of global climate change and ecological degradation, sustainable development has become a core issue of common concern for human society. As an important force in promoting social progress, universities not only undertake the mission of talent cultivation and scientific research, but also play a demonstrative and leading role in the construction of ecological civilization. Integrating the concept of "low-carbon ideological and political education" into the design of university environments is an important path to achieving sustainable campus development and an inherent requirement for implementing the educational goal of "cultivating morality and educating people". Low carbon ideological and political education emphasizes the combination of low-carbon and environmental protection values with ideological and political education, conveying ecological concepts through environmental design, and subtly influencing the behavior patterns and value orientations of teachers and students, thus achieving the function of environmental education. Studying this topic not only provides theoretical support and practical reference for the construction of green campuses in universities, but also serves as an educational model for the low-carbon development of the whole society, which has important practical significance and long-term value.
