Research on High School English Reading Teaching Based on the Literature Circle Model

Abstract:

In English teaching, extracurricular reading is an activity that students need to attach importance to and persist in for a long time. Reading can not only develop students' comprehensive English literacy but also play a positive role in their thinking and reasoning abilities. In recent years, the "literature circle" model, as a new teaching concept and method, has been used to assist high school English reading teaching. As an innovative group reading method, the "literature circle" model is conducive to improving students' reading skills. By reconstructing their roles, students become connectors, discoverers, and sharers of reading, broadening the path of junior high school English reading teaching and promoting the improvement of their own reading skills.
