Abstract：

Physical education in higher education institutions is a crucial component of the higher education system. Enhancing its teaching quality is essential for cultivating well-rounded, high-quality talents. This study focuses on the perspective of innovative teaching models, systematically analyzing the current state of physical education in universities. It delves into the core factors influencing teaching quality and proposes targeted improvement strategies from dimensions such as teaching philosophy, methods, curriculum systems, faculty teams, and teaching resources. Additionally, it establishes a mechanism to ensure the implementation of these strategies, aiming to provide theoretical references and practical pathways for the reform of physical education in universities.
