The Application of Evidence-based Lesson Study in English Language Teaching

Abstract:

This paper explores the application and effectiveness of evidence-based lesson study (EBLS) in English language teaching (ELT). Research indicates that EBLS, as an evidence-based teaching research method, can effectively enhance English teachers' instructional competence and professional development while improving student learning outcomes. By systematically reviewing the theoretical foundations, implementation steps, and specific application cases of EBLS in ELT, this study reveals its practical value in vocabulary teaching, reading comprehension, and oral expression. Additionally, the paper analyzes the challenges faced in EBLS and proposes corresponding countermeasures, providing valuable insights for English educators.
