Abstract:
With the increasing frequency of exchanges between China and foreign countries, more and more
foreign students come to China to learn Chinese. However, in the process of learning Chinese, international
students generally suffer from interlanguage fossilization, which is a common and critical problem in second
language acquisition and seriously affects the further development of language learning. The study found that
the causes of this phenomenon mainly include emotional factors such as motivation, attitude, anxiety, individual
differences and mother tongue transfer. In response to these problems, this paper proposes corresponding
countermeasures, such as establishing a positive learning attitude, optimizing language input, reducing mother
tongue interference, and giving play to the cognitive advantages of adult learners, in order to help international
students in China break through the "bottleneck period" of language learning and improve the effectiveness of
Chinese learning.
