Research on the Pathways for Deep Integration of Ideological and Political Elements into College Physical Education in the New Era

Abstract:

In the context of the new era, college physical education not only carries the responsibility of improving students’ physical fitness but also bears the important mission of ideological and political education. As an essential component of the college curriculum system, physical education plays an irreplaceable role in fulfilling the fundamental task of “fostering virtue through education ” and promoting students ’ all-round development. However, in practice, the integration of ideological and political elements into physical education still faces challenges such as insufficient conceptual understanding, monotonous teaching methods, limited resource integration, and imperfect evaluation systems. Based on an analysis of the theoretical foundations and practical status of integrating ideological and political education into physical education in the new era, this paper explores in depth the pathways for the deep integration of ideological and political elements from the perspectives of goal design, content optimization, teaching method innovation, evaluation system reconstruction, and environmental support. It also proposes feasible implementation strategies to provide theoretical support and practical references for enhancing the educational function of physical education and promoting the high- quality development of ideological and political education in colleges.
