Strategies for Fostering Core Literacy in Junior High School English Instruction under the New Curriculum Standards

Abstract:

The "Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition)" clearly states that core competencies are the basic qualities and key abilities that students must possess in the process of growth and development, including learning ability, language skills, thinking character, and cultural cultivation. Therefore, in the context of deepening education reform, cultivating students' core competencies and promoting their comprehensive development has become a top priority in education and teaching. In view of this, this article will analyze and explore strategies for cultivating students' core competencies in junior high school English teaching under the new curriculum standards, hoping to significantly improve the quality and effectiveness of English education.
