In the knowledge economy era, higher education serves as a crucial platform for cultivating high- caliber professionals and driving social progress. The professional ethics of its faculty directly determine educational quality, academic standards, and societal advancement. As knowledge disseminators, innovation pioneers, and soul engineers, university teachers 'ethical cultivation not only shapes students' growth but also profoundly influences societal value orientations. This paper explores the essence, significance, current status, and improvement strategies of professional ethics in higher education institutions, offering insights to support the healthy development of academic endeavors.
