Abstract:
Grounded in the imperative to "foster virtue through education" (Lide Shuren) and cultivate new talent
for national rejuvenation, China's "Great Ideological and Political Education" (DSI) framework—emphasizing "all- staff, whole-process, and all-around" (Three-All) education — provides a systemic context for addressing
contemporary challenges faced by university students. Among these, issues of life cognition, value confusion, and
mental well-being necessitate the urgent integration of life education. This paper examines the profound synergy
between the DSI framework and life education, arguing they are mutually reinforcing. It first defines the core
connotation of life education under the DSI framework as a systematic endeavor guided by the Marxist view of
life and socialist core values. This education spans cognitive (scientific understanding), emotional (respect and
reverence), and practical (resilience and responsibility) dimensions. Its value orientation is anchored in "three
unities": the unity of individual and social value, the unity of life safety and life growth, and the unity of
traditional culture and the spirit of the times. The paper then proposes a four-pronged implementation strategy.
