Research on the Innovative Application of Daily-life Materials in Primary School Science Experiment Teaching

Abstract:

Primary school science experiments serve as the core carrier for cultivating students' scientific literacy, practical abilities and inquisitive spirit. With their characteristics of easy access, low cost, and close to students' cognition, daily-life materials have become an important approach to solve the dilemmas in primary school science experiment teaching. Combining the current practice of science experiment teaching in primary schools, this paper analyzes the problems in the application of daily-life materials, such as the lack of systematic material selection, the teaching design divorced from inquiry goals, and the evaluation system ignoring the value of the process. Corresponding innovative application strategies are put forward, including constructing hierarchical selection standards, designing "problem-driven" teaching models, and improving a diversified evaluation system, aiming to provide practical references for improving the quality of science experiment teaching in primary schools and implementing core literacy training goals.
