Abstract：

From August 2022 to March 2023, the author participated in translation work at Zhangjiakou Medals Plaza for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. This report summarizes and reflects on that experience, focusing on the application of the Skopos Theory and its three rules—Skopos, Coherence, and Fidelity. Guided by the rules, the author aimed for fluency and accuracy to ensure smooth communication between venue staff and stakeholders. The practice demonstrates how Skopos Theory supports purpose-driven translation and is expected to provide useful insights for future translation work in major sporting events.
