Abstract:

With the in-depth advancement of the Healthy China 2030 strategy and the explosive growth of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, medical education is undergoing unprecedented digital transformation. As a critical component of medical talent cultivation, nursing education is shifting from traditional experience-based teaching toward intelligent and precision-oriented instructional models. In this context, the AI teaching literacy of nursing educators not only determines the quality of teaching but also directly affects the future clinical adaptability and innovative capacity of nursing professionals. Grounded in the era of digital transformation, this paper systematically analyzes the connotation and contemporary value of AI teaching literacy among nursing educators and reveals the practical challenges they face, including cognitive bias toward technology, discontinuities in application capabilities, and lagging ethical literacy. Accordingly, the paper proposes feasible pathways for improvement from four dimensions: reconstructing a human-machine collaborative educational ecosystem, deepening interdisciplinary integration of “nursing + AI,” improving a full life-cycle professional development and training system, and strengthening ethical and affective education. The study aims to provide theoretical references and practical insights for the high-quality development of nursing education in China.
