Abstract:
Health Assessment, as a bridge course connecting:basic medical sciences and clinical nursing, plays a critical role in cultivating nursing students” clinical thinking and practical competencies. In response to persistent challenges in traditional teaching—such as the lack of authentic clinical scenarios, limited hands-on opportunities due to ethical constraints, and insufficient training in doctor–patient communication—this paper explores an immersive interactive teaching model based on Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies. By constructing high-fidelity Virtual Standardized Patients (VSPs) and a multisensory physical examination system, this model facilitates a pedagogical shift from passive knowledge acquisition to immersive experiential learning. Practical implementation demonstrates that immersive AI interactive technology not only effectively mitigates clinical ethical risks and improves students” accuracy in history taking and physical examination, but also profoundly enhances their clinical reasoning ability and humanistic care competence. This approach provides an innovative digital transformation pathway for nursing talent cultivation in the new era.
