Abstract:
Adolescents are in a critical phase of psychological development. Insufficient emotional regulation capacity often leads to mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, making mental health protection a key societal concern. As a core component of quality education, aesthetic education centers on aesthetic experience, guiding adolescents to perceive, express, and create beauty through diverse art forms. This paper examines the intrinsic mechanisms of aesthetic education in promoting adolescent mental health from an emotional regulation perspective. It analyzes how aesthetic education facilitates emotional recognition, expression, guidance, and cognitive restructuring. By integrating adolescent psychological development characteristics, the study proposes practical strategies for enhancing mental health through aesthetic education, offering theoretical references and practical approaches to optimize adolescent mental health education.
