Research on Integrating the Sense of the Chinese Nation as One United Community into Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities

Abstract：

General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that "forging a strong sense of the Chinese nation as one united community is the main line of the Party's ethnic work in the new era and also the main line of all work in ethnic areas"[1]. As an important position for cultivating talents for the Party and gathering spiritual strength, colleges and universities need to deeply integrate this sense into ideological and political education. This paper explores the important significance, practical challenges and specific integration paths of this initiative. The study finds that it is an inevitable requirement for cultivating qualified socialist builders. At present, there are problems in the integration process such as insufficient pertinence of educational content, inadequate innovation of educational methods, to-be-improved capabilities of the teaching staff, and imperfect collaborative education mechanism. To this end, efforts should be made to optimize educational content, innovate educational methods, strengthen the construction of the teaching staff, and improve the collaborative education mechanism, so as to promote the in-depth penetration of relevant concepts in educational practice and lay a solid ideological foundation for realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
