Abstract:

This study adopts the perspective of eco-translatology and takes the Japanese translation of culture-loaded words in Xi Jinping: The Governance of Chinaas its research object. Based on the core principles of "Translation as Eco-balance", "Translation as Textual Transplant", and "Translation as Adaptation and Selection", and proceeding from the three dimensions of language, culture, and communication, this research, in conjunction with the adaptive and selective elements within the translational eco-environment, categorizes the culture-loaded words into five types: political context, cultural context, social context, economic context, and international exchange/diplomatic context. It then summarizes and analyzes the translation methods and strategies for each type of vocabulary. The study focuses on the translator's adaptation and selection process within the "Three-dimensional Transformation", revealing how the dynamic balance between the source text's ecology and the target text's ecology is achieved, ultimately accomplishing the "harmonious coexistence" of linguistic conversion, political equivalence, cultural convergence, and aesthetic reproduction.

Key Words:

eco-translatology; culture-loaded words; three-dimensional transformation
