Research Status and Prospect of the Mechanism of Tanshinone ⅡA in the Treatment of Ischemic Stroke

Abstract:

Ischemic stroke is the most common type of stroke, with extremely high disability and mortality rates, causing great economic pressure on society. Early recovery of blood supply in the ischemic area and reduction of neurological damage are the focus of  current treatment. Tanshinone Ⅱ A is a fat-soluble component extracted from Salvia miltiorrhiza, it is one of the natural pharmaceutical preparations for the treatment of ischemic stroke and brain protection, its pharmacological effects include cardiovascular and cerebrovascular protection, neuroprotection, improvement of microcirculation, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory and so on. In this paper, the research mechanism of tanshinoneⅡA in the treatment of ischemic stroke is reviewed, so as to provide theoretical basis for the clinical application of tanshinone ⅡA and the treatment of ischemic stroke.
