Research Progress of Nosocomial Infection During Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation

Abstract:

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is a cardiopulmonary bypass device consisting of a vascular cannula, pump, and artificial lung, it can be used for temporary life support in patients with severe respiratory and circulatory failure. Infection is a common complication during ECMO support, which affects the therapeutic effect of patients and is not conducive to the prognosis. Therefore, this article reviews the problems related to nosocomial infection during ECMO support.
