Abstract：

The core strength of the development of scientific journals and an important guarantee for sustainable development are the editorial talent team. Currently, the editorial team faces problems such as a shortage of professional talents, low personnel status, and rigid selection and appointment mechanisms. The article takes the construction of the editorial talent team of the journal "Earthquake Research" as an example, analyzes the problems and shortcomings of editorial talents in terms of knowledge structure, editorial and proofreading abilities, and personnel selection. It proposes to strengthen the cultivation and construction of the talent team through the "invite in, go out" approach, fully utilize the comprehensive performance evaluation and assessment mechanism, improve the efficiency of editorial work and talent selection, continuously enhance the core competitiveness of the journal through new media means and journal alliance forms, create a positive team building atmosphere, strive to cultivate a high-quality editorial talent team, and provide a solid talent foundation support for the high-quality development of the journal.
