Abstract：

In the 11th National Exhibition in 2009, mixed-material painting was established as a separate type of painting, and the mixed-material painting art committee was established the following year, thus establishing the academic status of mixed-material painting. Of course, this also allows us to see more possibilities of this type of painting, and injects new vitality into the field of painting art in our country. Integrated material painting emphasizes the use of material language for spatial expression, and is also expected to bring new development opportunities to painting research by cutting into multiple perspectives, constructing theoretical frameworks, and exploring innovative models. Therefore, this paper draws nourishment from the concept of space art, sorts out the connotation of painting, starts with emphasizing the modern development direction of painting and the transformation of multi-dimensional space, discusses the application of space concept in composite material painting, and tries to find a new breakthrough in today's painting art.
