Abstract:

Objective To investigate the impact of standardized cancer pain nursing interventions on the psychological state and quality of life of cancer pain patients. Methods A total of 60 cancer patients admitted to our hospital from August 2022 to September 2023 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group (n=30) received routine care, and the observation group (n=30) received standardized cancer pain nursing interventions. The life quality score, health belief score, negative emotion score, pain score, Herth Hope Index (HHI) score, and nursing satisfaction were compared before and after the nursing interventions. Results Before the intervention, there was no significant difference between the two groups in life quality scores (P>0.05). After the intervention, both groups showed an increase in life quality scores, with the observation group showing a higher score than the control group (P<0.05). Similarly, before the intervention, there was no significant difference in health belief scores between the two groups (P>0.05), but after the intervention, both groups showed an increase in health belief scores, with the observation group showing a higher score (P<0.05). Negative emotion and pain scores decreased in both groups after the intervention, with the observation group showing lower scores (P<0.05). The HHI score also increased significantly in both groups, with the observation group showing a higher score (P<0.05). The observation group had higher nursing satisfaction than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Standardized cancer pain nursing interventions can improve the psychological state and quality of life of cancer pain patients, help form healthy beliefs and hope for the future, and improve nursing satisfaction. The intervention is effective and beneficial for improving overall outcomes in cancer pain management.
