Abstract:
Historical materialism was once regarded as an empirical science that dominated the philosophical interpretation of Marx, but the Hegelian interpretation of Marxist philosophy, on the contrary, established historical materialism on the basis of class consciousness revelation. The decisive misunderstanding of these two interpretive approaches is that the ontological foundation of Marxist philosophy cannot be unified. When Hegelian and empirical historical materialism destroys the true connection between the economic base and the superstructure, human life experiences a decline in the overall spirit of historical materialism. In any case, we should rethink the function of historical materialism and the "crisis" of Marxist philosophy it contains. Especially through the basis of political philosophy and the changes of the times, we can understand the social function and practical impact of historical materialism theory.
