Abstract：

What is Marx's philosophical legacy? This is a hot topic in contemporary Marxist philosophy research. If we examine Marx's texts and Engels' evaluations, it is not difficult to find that Marx's philosophical legacy is historical materialism, which focuses on both the important question of what history is and how historical understanding and interpretation are possible. Historical materialism has rich hermeneutic implications, providing a Marxist plan for understanding and interpreting history, and making groundbreaking contributions to the development of hermeneutics in a unique way.
