Abstract:

Venous thromboembolism (VTE), including deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary thromboembolism, is a common and serious complication of cerebral hemorrhage. At present, China has launched a VTE prevention and control capacity building project, and the main prevention and control measures include mechanical prevention and drug prevention. In recent years, mechanical prophylaxis has been widely used, and drugs such as low molecular weight heparin and unfractionated heparin have also been gradually applied in clinical practice for prophylaxis. However, due to the possibility of heparin increasing the risk of hematoma enlargement or rebleeding in patients with cerebral hemorrhage, resulting in adverse outcomes, there are certain limitations to its current application. This article introduces the current status, effectiveness, and safety of heparin in preventing VTE related to cerebral hemorrhage, providing reference for the application of heparin in preventing VTE related to cerebral hemorrhage.
