Abstract：

Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) is an important treatment for acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by portal hypertension in liver cirrhosis. This article reviews the recent progress of TIPS in the treatment of acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by portal hypertension in liver cirrhosis, including indications, stent selection, and efficacy evaluation.
