Abstract:
Strong magnetic field, as one of the extreme conditions in modern scientific experiments, has the important ability to amplify magnetic field effects and observe phenomena that cannot or are difficult to observe under weak magnetic fields. It plays a key role in the discovery of new phenomena and the revelation of new laws. The increase in magnetic field strength can significantly improve the resolution and detection capability of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), providing key experimental conditions for research in the field of life sciences. In addition to a wide range of application fields such as physics and materials science, a series of extreme experimental platforms and various testing methods developed based on steady-state strong magnetic field experimental devices also provide important platforms for studying the effects of magnetic fields on living organisms. In recent years, life science research under strong magnetic field conditions has been very active internationally, and the five major steady-state strong magnetic field experimental devices worldwide attach great importance to research in this field. This article will mainly introduce the research work in the field of life sciences in China under steady-state strong magnetic fields, including exploring biological responses using strong magnetic field conditions, revealing new phenomena and laws in life processes, and developing new biomagnetic technologies and applications.
