Research on the Reform of UndergraduateGeneral Education Curriculum under theBackground of New Liberal Arts Construction

Abstract:

General education serves as an important foundation for undergraduate talent training and a key carrier for improving the comprehensive quality of college students. Under the background of New Liberal Arts Construction, undergraduate general education undertakes new missions and value connotations. It needs to adapt to the trend of disciplinary integration, technological innovation, and social development, and continuously optimize curriculum structure, update curriculum content, and innovate implementation paths. This paper focuses on the practical needs of general education curriculum reform, analyzes the current orientation and development requirements of general education under the New Liberal Arts concept, discusses the existing shortcomings that need to be improved in the current undergraduate general education curriculum, explores feasible reform strategies and implementation paths, and aims to provide practical reference for promoting the high-quality development of undergraduate general education under the New Liberal Arts background, helping to cultivate compound talents with comprehensive quality, innovative awareness, and practical ability.
