Abstract:
Supercritical fluid technology for preparing biodiesel does not use catalysts, and the production process is clean and environmentally friendly, making it a highly promising green renewable energy production technology. This article first briefly describes the characteristics of supercritical fluids and their physical and chemical foundations for the preparation of biodiesel; Secondly, a detailed analysis is conducted on the effects and reasons of process control conditions such as reaction temperature, reaction pressure, alcohol oil molar ratio, low-carbon alcohol type, water, fatty acids, reactor, and reaction form on the reaction in the preparation of biodiesel using supercritical fluid technology. The process enhancement methods and technical economics in the preparation of biodiesel using supercritical fluid technology are also introduced. Although supercritical fluid preparation of biodiesel has the advantages of good raw material adaptability, low investment and operating costs, and clean production process, there are problems such as harsh reaction conditions and high methanol consumption. From an industrial perspective, it is pointed out that using cheap waste oil raw materials to reduce costs, adjusting raw material acid values to reduce reaction severity, and continuous and large-scale production are the key directions for improving the technology of supercritical fluid preparation of biodiesel.
