Abstract:
With the increasingly prominent issue of global climate change, countries around the world have formulated dual-carbon goals to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. This global transformation has had a profound impact on consumer demand, driving changes in lifestyles and shopping choices for both society and individuals. By comprehensively analyzing relevant literature and market trends, this paper delves into the changing trends in consumer demand under the dual-carbon goals and dissects the associated incentive mechanisms. Firstly, the paper outlines the gradual expansion of markets for renewable energy, green technologies, and low-carbon products following the implementation of the dual-carbon goals, which has fueled consumers' growing demand for sustainable goods. Subsequently, it summarizes the incentive mechanisms employed by governments, enterprises, and social organizations to motivate consumers in the context of the dual-carbon goals, as well as how these incentives have promoted the development of sustainable consumption. This research contributes to a better understanding of the shaping role of the dual-carbon goals on consumer demand and provides valuable policy recommendations and business strategies for advancing sustainable development.
