Abstract:

This article explores the importance and practical methods of fine tuning techniques for intensity levels and music color processing in horn playing. As a musical instrument with rich timbre and strong expressive power, the performance of the horn not only relies on solid basic skills, but also requires fine adjustments in the intensity level to showcase the delicate emotions and rich colors of the music. The article analyzes the use of long note control, strong and weak intensity changes, linking and staccato playing techniques, and special playing techniques (such as stop and closing stops) in horn playing, emphasizing the key role of these techniques in shaping musical images and creating specific atmospheres. At the same time, it explored how to achieve precise control of intensity levels by adjusting the coordinated use of breath, lip muscles, and mouth button pressure, thereby achieving more delicate and rich color effects in music performance. In addition, the article also points out the precautions for horn players in expressing pitch accuracy, playing posture, instrument maintenance, etc., providing comprehensive guidance for enhancing the artistic expression of horn playing.
