Abstract：

This article explores the narrative functions of music narrative and sound narrative in five aspects of film and television: constructing plot, shaping style, defining time and space, expressing characters' emotions and feelings, and enhancing the artistic appeal of film and television. The music narrative in film and television effectively expands the artistic interpretation space of film and television, strengthens the narrative ability of expressing ideology in film and television, enriches the means of storytelling in film and television, and gives greater freedom in constructing story plots, revealing behavioral motivations, showcasing character personalities, and rendering aesthetic tastes, making the stories told in film and television more deeply rooted in people's hearts.
