Abstract:

The powerful diagnostic ability of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) for focal liver lesions is mainly due to the development of its imaging methods. At present, there are still deficiencies in the evaluation of diffuse liver lesions using DWI, so further exploration and optimization of its imaging methods are of great significance. Therefore, this article reviews the quantitative imaging, image quality improvement, and accelerated imaging methods involved in liver DWI in recent years. Firstly, this article elaborates on the main challenges currently faced by liver DWI; Then, the research status and potential solutions of quantitative imaging models, fat suppression techniques, parallel imaging, compressive sensing techniques, and multi-layer synchronous imaging methods in liver DWI were reviewed, providing feasible ideas for further optimization of existing imaging methods and introduction of new methods; Finally, a summary and outlook on liver DWI methods were presented.
