Abstract:
In recent years, the proportion of middle-aged and young patients with hypertension has been increasing year by year, leading to an increased long-term or lifelong risk of cardiovascular disease. The pathogenesis of hypertension is currently unclear. In recent years, multiple studies have shown a significant correlation between dysbiosis of the gut microbiota and hypertension. Regulating the gut microbiota may be a potential intervention for hypertension in the future. This article provides a review of the possible mechanisms by which gut microbiota affects hypertension in young and middle-aged individuals, as well as relevant strategies for using gut microbiota as a target to prevent and treat hypertension.
