Abstract:
Tissue damage and regeneration disorders are major challenges in the field of clinical medicine. Traditional treatment methods often struggle to achieve functional repair of damaged tissues. However, stem cells, their unique biological characteristics, provide novel research directions and therapeutic strategies for tissue repair and regeneration. This article systematically elaborates on the fundamental biological characteristics of stem cells, including their definition, classification, sources, core properties, and biological regulatory mechanisms. It primarily reviews the progress in basic research on the application of stem cells in the repair and regeneration of major tissues such as skin, bone/cartilage, cardiovascular, and neural tissues. Key issues in current research are analyzed, and future research directions are prospected, providing theoretical support and reference for further basic research and clinical translation of stem cells in the field of tissue repair and regeneration.
